Dona Nobis Pacem

I'll try to keep it shorter:
Charlie and I played until 4:30 on Thursday night and I reached level 6. It was my first time playing with someone else. I realized that the social aspect of gaming is more appeal to me than the competitive element.
Saturday was what should have been our first chaos vs. order battle. Mostly chaos players showed. Again, playing with other people was a lot more fun. We staged our first peace protests. It was hilarious. A few curious (or bored?) players followed us around for a while. Recruiting was always interesting...We would start out with casual banter, "HI", jump up and down. The player would then realize that something was up because our chaos players weren't fighting the order stragglers. We found more chaos recruits than order ones. Sometimes we would demonstrate the peace with puppet shows and, in my case, spitting on the ground (i was concerned that my Squid Herder was seizuring). We would then become more aggressive with phrases like, "let us spread our peaceful ways throughout the land!"
I'm sure they were a little weirded out, but we managed to single out and interrogate one player on an island. I asked, "how do you feel about the fact that you can't communicate with these other peaceful players?" (I was referring to the order characters because chaos can't communicate with order).
This intrigued player merely responded with, "I've played lot of World of Warcraft so I'm used to it." I was disappointed in his response but I'm sure we'll exercise this little activity again soon.
I haven't played the game since Saturday and I haven't felt compelled to. While observing someone playing the game earlier tonight I noticed how difficult and intimidating it is to converse with a player absorbed in their gaming world. Even when I have the video camera in hand I feel a little guilty for distracting the player from the excitement of Warhammer. Perhaps this is because I don't entirely feel comfortable in the gaming world yet. It's a lot easier to talk with chaos people while they're playing than order because the order clan clearly has more invested in the game. I'm still an outsider in the game, although I'm starting to enjoy it more.
